Synopsis[]

Official synopsis for the episode Limerick:[1]

In the last of the series, an interminable flight with a very baffling cargo gives our crew the opportunity to pass the time by alternately opening their hearts up to each other and persuading Arthur not to play charades...

Plot[]

MJN are tasked with flying a small but valuable package from Hong Kong to Limerick, resulting in huge boredom for all involved. They pass the time by talking and playing word games. Arthur has difficulty microwaving a pie, Martin and Douglas defeat a never-setting sun by lowering their altitude, Martin confides in Douglas that he earns money as a man with a van, and Douglas confides in Martin that his wife has admitted an affair.

Arthur eventually works out that the package is a small quantity of horse semen, which puts him right off his pie.

Cast[]

Trivia[]

Limerick is the only episode in which only the four main characters' voices are heard.

The episode is one long, uncut scene and is what one would hear listening to twenty-eight minutes of the cockpit voice recorder.[2]
