Personality and traits[]
Mr Alyakhin is likely to be a 'New Russian', one who acquired wealth after the fall of the Soviet Union. He is the head of a firm that sells "massive yachts".
Mr Alyakhin is very dismissive of MJN Air, making rude remarks about both the airline and Carolyn to her face. He questions their safety practices and whether they can fulfil his charter needs without bending too many rules.
